North Wilkesboro is back!

The title says it all! This historic race track is back and we are about to see exactly why this track is 🔥!

Today is the ASA Stars National Series ECMD 150 race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. I’m watching it right now on FloRacing and y’all this has me giddy!

North Wilkesboro is a prominent part of American Grassroots racing history and it’s a damn shame that it was closed for the reason that it was and for so long. Wilkes County deserved justice for that for a long time and now the track is back!

I have never been to NWB. but you would think I have by the way that I talk about it. The only thing that I have is an NWB t-shirt that my husband got off SMI’s website as a gift.

I was so passionate about this track’s story that I literally did a college presentation about the Grassroots History of NASCAR just so I could talk about the closing of North Wilkesboro which was the longest part of my presentation. I was a sportscasting major at Full Sail University but due to family issues, my mental health at the time, working a full-time job, and lack of funds, I dropped out. 😞 Trust me I was devastated but then I realized that I didn’t have to have a degree in sportscasting to be able to reach the audience that I wanted to reach.

This is why Race Wife Unfiltered is going to start focusing more on the grassroots of American racing! You’re going to start seeing more guests affiliated with NASCAR, NHRA, and more people on the local levels of racing. You will also see more content from local race tracks.
